First Day/Night in Cacak, Serbia

Hello friends!
Yes, we made it all the way here! And all of our luggage made it as well. Neal (one of our leaders here) says that is 1 miracle already! Well, this will be a most pitiful blog. We are in our rooms for the night and exhausted to say the least! I believe the only person that got any sleep on the plane was Cedric. There was a screaming baby aboard our flight, which made for a great time! :) So, we haven't slept since Friday night, the few hours we got then! Things are mysteriously becoming funnier and fuzzier. :) We thought we might have missed our flight in Bham at first, because we saw on the big flight screen, that our flight had been moved to 12:00 and it was 12:15. So that was our first moment of panic! But we asked someone and they said it wouldn't leave until 1:00. By our last flight we were pretty tired and when the French pilot announced that we were hitting some turbulence, it sounded like he said tarantula. So we had lots of fun with that, thanks to Mark. When we arrived, Another one of the missionaries (Matt) was there to pick us up. It was pouring rain..first time it has rained in a while...but of course we got soaked!:) Our first meal was McDonalds in Belgrade, and we were all just excited to have something besides the plane food (TERRIBLE!) Of course, Britt managed to scarf it down like it was a steak. Then we rode 2.5 hours to Cacak. As soon as we got here, we went to the Cacak's Warrior Angels football game, which Neal plays on. It was pretty interesting to watch American football being played over here, especially since it was so warm. We ate dinner at a "chicken stand" called "lord". It was very tasty and close by. We are staying right in downtown Cacak. We walked around the streets tonight for a bit, and everyone stopped to watch us walk by. I guess we have "I am an American" written all over us. Well, I can't believe I was able to even type all of this... I hope it made some sense to you. Sorry it took so long to get it done. Converter issues. It will probably be around this same time each day that I am able to post.
I will try to get some pics on here tomorrow maybe. Many Many THANKS to everyone of you who made this trip possible for us!! We know you will be blessed for it. Good night!
B & L

P.S. we are 7 hours ahead of you guys. In case you were curious.
